Fight Plan (2005)

Fight Plan (2005)

Women have a tendency to find men more attractive in uniforms. I must add that not all men can rock it.

It’s the same the other way around. Women can have beautiful gowns, perfect make-up and designer high-heels but they have to have something additional to be able to look like a queen – without it, the whole thing’s just purposeless.

Put any uniform on Sean Bean and the guy rocks it like a King. He’s not only wearing the suit; he’s wearing the skin of the character and morphs into them.

I wish I knew how he does that so exquisitely.

Such a shame that I’ve only recently watched The Frankenstein Chronicles. Hadn’t I been busy with some handsome young men (I wasn’t), I’d have watched it much sooner.

I still haven’t woken up from that dark, mysterious world the series brought me to.

Though I was born and live really far away from this country, I am fascinated by the history of England – of which I had a pretty sinister glimpse watching the episodes.

Survival, plague, medical science about to bloom in disputable ways, technology developing, William Blake, Mary Shelley, and love – either accomplished or not – have drawn me to consume all episodes in less than three days.

It was worth not going to sleep in time and neglecting my everyday tasks a bit.

Mr. Bean’s acting is impeccable as always and the other actors’ work is also above reproach. There was not one episode where I was able to stop biting my nails (yes, I have a tendency on self-mutilating when stressful) because of the tension they put me into. However, it is a good sort of tension that manages to cut you off from this world (whatever your world is) and fly you back almost 200 years to where police hadn’t even existed.
